Ac!d Commander: A circuitous route to obtain C4

This is my new game project: “Ac!d Commander.” It involves Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP. Rather than being in written form, I decided to do an actual Let’s Play, making videos and everything. I’ll be posting one to three new videos every Friday from today until the game is over.  I welcome any comments and discussion. Apologies in advance for any audio hiccups, video malfunctions, or other jackassery, which will surely ensue.

Up this week are two, yes TWO more videos! How exciting is that?! And they are slightly shorter missions than usual, so yay? And that’s only because these two episodes represent a couple of middling stages that Snake must traverse in order to get to an armory. Adventure? Excitement? Well…maybe.

Ac!d Commander: Finding Gary (parts 2 and 3)

Finally, finally, finally have I have more than one video to share! Y’know, the devil in this process really is video editing. I mean, I could record games all the live long day…but editing them? That’s another story. So let’s talk about this story, the story of Solid Snake and a guy named Gary who’s trapped somewhere in the Lobito Lab. While I work to finish up this mission, we finally get to find out just who this Gary really is. Or…do we?

Ac!d Commander: Finding Gary (part 1)

This is my new game project: “Ac!d Commander.” It involves Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP. Rather than being in written form, I decided to do an actual Let’s Play, making videos and everything. Up this week is yet another single video, and it’s only the first part of a larger whole. I explain my motives concerning the division of the episode at the end of the video, but suffice to say, I’ll be cutting longer videos down into serviceable chunks from here on out. So what’s up with Snake? Well, he inside the Lobito Lab (or on the grounds or something, it’s a little hard to tell), and he’s on the hunt for a guy named Gary. It sounds mundane, but I promise that the results are anything but. Onward, Solid Snake! Onward!

Ac!d Commander: Now that we know how to move, let’s start moving!

With my strange introduction to this new game project in the long forgotten past, it’s time to really kick off the Metal Gear Ac!d party!

*Ahem*

This is my new game project. It involves Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP. Rather than being in written form, I decided to do an actual Let’s Play, making videos and everything. I’ll be posting one to three new videos every Friday from today until the game is over.  I welcome any comments and discussion. Up this week is only one video: my second episode. As Snake moves onto the grounds of the Lobito Laboratory,  I finally start chewing on the meat of the game — picking cards, taking down my enemies, staying in the shadows, and of course, royally fucking up at the wrong times. But hey, it’s all in good fun!

Ac!d Commander: Let’s get KRUNK!

OMG, I just typed “krunk.” Seriously, what the fuck? Who am I, even? And what is wrong with me?? … … …

WHAT AM I EVEN DOING HERE???

Oh, yeah…Ac!d Commander, that’s what!

UWG on YT: Yoshi’s Woolly World

It’s been awhile since I tooted my own video horn, mainly because I haven’t had much to toot about. But now…

…TOOT TOOT!

Okay, enough with the toots.

I’m playing Yoshi’s Woolly World for United We Game! After a grand row with retro games and fighting games, I decided it was time to take a breather and enjoy a little sweet and cozy platforming fun. And nothing says “sweet” and “cozy” like the happy bundle of joy that its Yoshi’s Woolly World. So from last week, and for the next…(*counting*) bunch of weeks, I’ll be posting my Let’s Play Yoshi Woolly World videos every Tuesday. You can find them on UWG’s YouTube channel, and I’ll also be sharing them on my Gaming Videos page. I’d love for you folks to follow along, leave comments, and give all the “likes” you can muster! Sure, it’s no Battlefield 1 or Final Fantasy XV, but it’s cute. Like super-duper cute! Like, like KINKA-MAYA-MAYA CUUUUTE!

And we all need a little infusion of cute every now and again.

Play or Pass: Street Fighter II

Welcome to the next post in my year-long series “Play or Pass” that takes on the proverbial “must before death” theme with video games. Every other week I will be covering one or two games from “32 Video Games You Have To Play Before You Die,” a list compiled by BuzzFeed based on a reader poll. I will not be critiquing the list itself, but rather I’ll be discussing each game or games in whatever manner feels fitting and will attempt to answer a couple simple questions: Have I played [insert game name here]? If yes, do I consider it a “must” and why? If no, do I want to play the game before I die? I’ll be going through the games in the order in which they appear on the BuzzFeed list. Good? Good. Let’s get on with the games!

Week twenty-one: (27) Street Fighter II

In the BuzzFeed list upon which this series is based, its says the following about this week’s game:

Street Fighter 2 is the first game that made the arcade feel like a real battleground.

Unfortunately, I can’t speak to that reference personally; I never played Street Fighter II in the arcade. (Yes II. I can’t use plain ol’ numbers when referring to SF games. It’s just not right!) In fact, I can’t speak to anything about Street Fighter II because I never played it. But! I played later iterations of the game, namely Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Street Fighter II, and Hyper Street Fighter II. And while I’ve written about this favorite series of fighting games, here and elsewhere, I now have visual proof!

Sam and Max Hit the Road: Episodes 7 and 8

May is almost over, and so is Sam & Max Hit the Road! I’ve got here the final two episodes of my playthrough of the game. I wish I had more to say than that, but I am so tired right now that I might just collapse into my keyb4n89eioweiooo nkewffhaiorfjk ;aweli j

**snoresniffle** Huh? Wha…? OH. Thanks for sticking with me through on this bumpy, non-blogging road. I’m going to be back next time (that’d be  next month. Also holy hell! June already?!) catching up with my “Play or Pass” posts. It’ll be sooooooo good to be back. For now though, more sleep…
