Ac!d Commander: Finding Gary (parts 2 and 3)

This is my new game project: “Ac!d Commander.” It involves Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP. Rather than being in written form, I decided to do an actual Let’s Play, making videos and everything. I’ll be posting one to three new videos every Friday from today until the game is over.  I welcome any comments and discussion. Apologies in advance for any audio hiccups, video malfunctions, or other jackassery, which will surely ensue.

Finally, finally, finally have I have more than one video to share! Y’know, the devil in this process really is video editing. I mean, I could record games all the live long day…but editing them? That’s another story. So let’s talk about this story, the story of Solid Snake and a guy named Gary who’s trapped somewhere in the Lobito Lab. While I work to finish up this mission, we finally get to find out just who this Gary really is. Or…do we?

Also, we catch back up with the marionettes and that plane they hijacked. Goddamn if this game isn’t a work of art.

  1. Love them! That was some kick in the first video! Wow.

And poor Snake! The “getting shot” animation was definitely painful haha. And don’t feel bad. I like stealth games and I always get Ds and Cs when I clear a level, so I guess I’m not as good as my enjoyment of them implies!

    1. Oh, interesting — I didn’t know that the “grading” system was a thing in MSG games. The more I play this one, the more I want to explore the main series. I’m so terrible at stealth, but the characters (and even the insane story) are pretty compelling.

I’m finding that the animations in this game are pretty hilarious. I wondered at first if they might just be the emulator glitching…but nope, it isn’t. It’s just the game, haha.

      1. Yeah the most recent games grade you (sigh) and other stealth games like Splinter Cell do, as well. And it’s a great series! I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts if you get into it!

Looking forward to seeing more of your adventure!
