It pays to be versatile and sunny!

The-Versatile-Blogger-Award

Sunshine-Award

In the not too distant past, a couple awards were sent my way from some very nice bloggers. From Vitosal of Gamers Therapy and Planet of the Gamer I received the Versatile Blogger Award, and a nomination for the Sunshine Blogger Award came from InvaderC8! And for this, they are all awesome. And that awesomeness extends well into these blogs, which are all chock full of game news, stories, and whole lots more. So if you’re not following them, you totally should be, because it’s the right thing to do.

Alrighty then! As we all know by now, in order to fully accept any such community awards, there are protocols to follow. Given that I was notified of the Versatile Blogger Award first, I’m going to follow its rules, though the rules for both awards are very similar, and they are:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to his or her blog.
  • Reveal seven things seven things about yourself.
  • Select fifteen  blogs, ones you’ve start started following or ones you’ve been following for awhile, to nominate.

Having already doled out my kindest of thanks to Sir Vitosal, Planet of the Gamer, and InvaderC8, I must now come up with seven secrets to reveal…

  1. Despite the headaches involved, I like public transportation and try to use it whenever possible.
  2. Right now I’m in a “I feel SO OLD” life-stage. Thankfully, gaming keeps me young at heart.
  3. Also, it’s not that I’m not excited about the PS4 and the Xbox One, but I really just want to play Super Mario 3D World.
  4. I’ve completely given up on ever giving up coffee. It and I are simply one.
  5. I’m terrible at proofreading. In fact, I don’t think I have a single post here that has less than 20 revisions.
  6. I can’t remember a time when a cat or two wasn’t in my life. One of the earliest memories I can recall is holding my first cat, Midnight, when I was 5 or 6.
  7. Though I organize stuff for a living, those skills translate poorly at home. Please, just…just don’t look in my office.

Hmmm…maybe they aren’t very juicy secrets, but there they are. So, finally, here are my fifteen nominations. While I’ve been following a few of these blogs for awhile, most are new to my reader. Whether you’re into video games, pop culture, or just want something different to read, any and all of these fine writers and/or artists and/or distributors of good tidings are worth checking out. Happy blogging, everyone!

  1. Thanks cary!

I’m sorry every time you give me one of these I move my blog somewhere else.
    It’s honestly nothing personal!

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and enjoy the weekend.

P.S I love the new Purple Star… just because.

    1. Thank you! I’m just doling out a little recognition, but how people react to is completely up to them! Seeing as how you’re a giraffe in space, it’s understandable that you have your head in several different places.

This weekend is turning out to be wonderful, and I wish you the same. 🙂

  2. Congrats! I can relate to number 2 a great deal. Despite the fact that my friends constantly tease me for “never aging” my soul does feel its age. Still, I’ll always remain young at heart! Who wants to be a grumpy, old fuddy duddy anyway? 😛

    1. Precisely! Being grumpy all the time doesn’t get one far in life. And we’ve all only got one life, so why not try to enjoy it (most of the time)!

And speaking of things to enjoy, I hope you have a great holiday weekend!

  3. You aren’t old, just seasoned. And, let’s be honest, no one wants anything that is bland!

Thanks for the nod. I will pay it forward by visiting every blog you mentioned. And Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, Cary. I hope you and your husband and the rest of your family have a great day. 😀
